29 CFR 1915.81(a)(5): The employer shall dispose of flammable and combustible substances, such as paint thinners, solvents, rags, scrap, and waste, or store them in covered fire-resistant containers at the end of each workshift or when the job is completed, whichever occurs first. a) On or about March 31, 2015 in front of the Fabrication Shop, employees operating the 1050 Bridge/Gantry Crane were exposed to flammable and combustible chemicals being stored in the crane, along with rags, other trash and oil leaking on the floor, creating a fire hazard. b) On or about March 31, 2015, located adjacent to the water, the employee operating the #1 Gantry Crane was exposed to flammable and combustible chemicals being stored in the crane, creating a fire hazard.
