29 CFR 1926.50(c): In the absence of an infirmary, clinic, hospital, or physician, that is reasonably accessible in terms of time and distance to the worksite, which is available for the treatment of injured employees, a person who has a valid certificate in first-aid training from the U.S. Bureau of Mines, the American Red Cross, or equivalent training that can be verified by documentary evidence, shall be available at the worksite to render first aid.  At the project, no one had a valid certificate in first aid training and the nearest medical facility was more than four minutes away.  Employees used circular saws and hammers to pound nails without eye protection onsite.  They were exposed to the hazards of being cut by the saws and struck by nails.

29 CFR 1926.50(d)(1): First aid supplies shall be easily accessible when required.  At the project there were no first aid supplies on site for use in the event of an employee injury.  Employees used circular saws and hammers to pound nails without eye protection onsite.  They were exposed to the hazards of being cut by the saws and struck by nails.

29 CFR 1926.95(a): Protective equipment, including personal protective equipment for eyes, face, head, and extremities, protective clothing, respiratory devices, and protective shields and barriers, were not provided:  At the project, the employer did not provide eye protection nor nitrile or otherwise chemical-resistant gloves for use by employees exposed to Portland cement and silica.  Employees were exposed to carcinogenic materials, serious eye damage and skin irritation.
