29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks a) On or about April 06, 2015 the employer failed to provide adequate machine guarding, in that the light curtain of the Hunter machine was installed in such a configuration that it failed to bring the machine to a complete stop before an employee could access moving parts. The employee was exposed to struck by and pinch points hazards.
