29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: One or more methods of machine guarding were not provided to rotators on the 90 and 180 rotating machines used for rotating railcars. This condition exposed employees removing pins and rods to caught-in hazards from rotating parts and struck-by hazards from railcar removal. The American Railcar Industries was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard which was contained in OSHA inspection number 315651091, citation number 1, item number 2(b) and was affirmed a final order on June 14, 2013, with respect to a workplace located at 1901 Industrial Drive in Kennett, Missouri.
