OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): Each Employer shall furnish to each of his employees employment and a place of employment free from recognized hazards that are causing or are likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: The magnet on the Shannahan 10-ton crane released a steel sheet, which had been lifted approximately two feet off the floor, in a manner which caused the sheet to drift as it dropped to the floor.

29 CFR 1910.303(b)(7)(iv): Electric equipment had damaged parts that may adversely affect safe operation or mechanical strength of the equipment, such as parts that are broken, bent, cut, or deteriorated by corrosion, chemical action, or overheating. On or about August 13, 2018 and times prior, the 480V three phase electrical cabinets located to the right hand side of Exit #36 at the West Plant were dented and the doors of the middle cabinet left opened, exposing employees to electrical hazards.
