29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(1): Employees were not provided effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment and whenever a new hazard that the employees had not been previously trained about was introduced into their work area: (a) The employer did not provide training for employees who were exposed to chemicals, such as but not limited to AlbaChem Spot Lifter II (contains methylene chloride), S.P.I.F. II (eye, skin & respiratory irritant), SAATIChem Remove PW-9 (eye & skin irritant), SAATIchem Remove ER2 (eye & skin irritant) and SAATIChem Remove IR1 (eye & skin irritant). Atlantis Sportswear, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 90872, citation number 2, item number 4 and was affirmed as a final order on December 23, 2013, with respect to a workplace located at 344 Fox Drive, Piqua, OH 45356. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET), and in addition, documentation demonstrating that abatement is complete must be included with your certification.
