29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system: a) The employer does not ensure that employees use fall protection when exposed to serious fall hazards during roofing work. This condition was most recently observed at an existing residential job site, Block 1 Lot 19, Spurwing Subdivision, on May 29, 2015. Workers performing tile roofing activities on a 14 in 12 pitched roof without a fall protection system in place were exposed to fall hazards ranging from 12 to 23 feet from various locations on the roof to the concrete or ground below. Note: Abatement certification and documentation is required for this item. Cano Roofing, Inc dba Signature Roofing was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 280131, citation number 1, item number 1, and was affirmed as a final order on April 9, 2012, with respect to a workplace located at Lots 11 & 12, Block 2223, Sienna Glen Way, Eagle, ID 83616.
