The sub-contractors employees were exposed to a 19 foot fall hazard while performing framing activities from the exterior top plate and unsheathed roof trusses.      b) Solterra Sub-division: On May 8, 2015 and at times prior thereto, the controlling employer Tahoe Homes, LLC, did not ensure that its sub-contractor took the proper precautions to protect their employees from fall hazards.  The sub-contractors employees were exposed to a 13 foot fall hazard to the outside while performing framing activities near unguarded wall/window openings and an 8 foot fall hazard inside to the lower level.      Note) Certification and documentation of corrective action ARE required for this item.

These conditions were most recently observed at 1921 North Justine Ave on May 8, 2015.     Tahoe Homes, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard, which was contained in OSHA inspection number 461944, citation number 1, item number 1b, and was affirmed as a final order on August 24, 2012, with respect to a workplace located at Lot 16, Block 1, 5072 East Mill Station Drive, Boise, ID 83716.    Note) Pursuant to 29 C.F.R. 1903.19, the employer must submit certification AND documentation describing the steps being taken to ensure compliance, including a description of how these steps protect employees and the employees of its sub-contractors from common, obvious hazards.
