29 CFR 1926.501(b)(15): Each employee on a walking/working surface 6 feet (1.8 meters) or more above lower levels was not protected from falling by a guardrail system, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system: The employer is failing to protect employees from fall hazards associated with using the conveyor belt system of a roofing material delivery truck, as means of access and egress to the roof of a new residential home construction where the fall hazards exceed 6 feet. The most recent occurrence of this took place at the new home being built at 10315 S. 124th Street, Papillion, NE where the employer had two employees delivering roof shingles to a new construction site and allowing them to use the conveyor belt system as means of access and egress without having provided handholds (rope, chains or guardrails) for the employees to hang on to while riding the conveyor.
