Abatement Note: Abatement certification is required for this item (see enclosed Certification of Corrective Action Worksheet).

29 CFR 1910.215(b)(9): The distance between the periphery of the abrasive wheels and the safety guard peripheral member at the top exceeded one fourth inch: a) Maintenance Shop: On or about June 19, 2015, and at times prior, workers were exposed to injuries resulting from flying debris where a Central Machinery 8-inch bench grinder was used with the left and right tongue guards removed which created an opening measuring three-eighths and one half inch respectively.
