29 CFR 1910.22(c): Covers and/or guardrails were not provided to protect personnel from the hazards of open pits, tanks, vats, ditches, etc. (a) Worksite, Yard(s) - Employees walked across uneven ground and through potholes when they performed maintenance activities in the yard; and when they accessed their buses and/or vans on, or about April 17, 2015. Note: The employer is required to submit abatement certification for this violation, in accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19. Failure to comply may result in an additional penalty of $1,000. The aforementioned "single employer / integrated enterprise" was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.23(a)(7), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 966081, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 10/9/14, with respect to a workplace located at 3040 Veterans Memorial Highway in Bohemia, NY. The aforementioned "single employer / integrated enterprise" was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.23(a)(7), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 966379, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 10/9/14, with respect to a workplace located at 1 Grumman Road East in Bethpage, NY. The aforementioned "single employer / integrated enterprise" was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.23(a)(7), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 966391, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 10/9/14, with respect to a workplace located at 30 West Yaphank Road in Coram, NY.
