29 CFR 1910.157(c)(1): The employer shall provide portable fire extinguishers and shall mount, locate and identify them so that they are readily accessible to employees without subjecting the employees to possible injury. a. Repair Shop Bays - On or about June 30th, 2015, the employer had mounted fire extinguishers for employees use in case of incipient fires and these were not identified as such. 1. Trailer Bay/West Wall - the fire extinguisher was not identified with a sign posted above. 2. Wash Bay/North Wall - the fire extinguisher was not identified with a sign posted above.
