29 CFR 1910.132(a): Protective equipment was not used when necessary whenever hazards capable of causing injury and impairment were encountered: a. Devon 2 Plant (Diesel Washcoat), Near the Precision Coating Line 15-D2 - The employer did not ensure that an employee who handled nitric acid worn protective body clothing, such as, chemical resistant clothing. This employee sustained chemical burns to his arm and leg after being splashed with nitric acid, a strong corrosive and oxidizer that can cause skin irritation and severe burns. Observed On or About June 3, 2015.
