29 CFR 1910.37(a)(2): Exit routes must be arranged so that employees will not have to travel toward a high hazard area, unless the path of travel is effectively shielded from the high hazard area by suitable partitions or other physical barriers.    Employees working in rough knot stations between conveyor systems were required to climb onto and walk over the conveyors to exit the work area, with no other means of egress provided.

29 CFR 1910.303(c)(3)(i): Conductors were not spliced or joined with splicing devices identified for the use or by brazing, welding, or soldering with a fusible metal or alloy.   Soledered splices were not spliced or joined mechanically and electrically secured first without solder and then soldered.  All splices and joints and the free ends of conductors were not covered with an insulation equivalent to that of the conductors or with an insulating device identified for the purpose.      The employer had a fan used in the work area with spliced conductors on the flexible cord hard wired into conduit running near the ground level.  The splice was not covered with an insulation equivalent to that of the conductors or with an insulating device identified for that purpose, exposing employees to electrical shock and fire hazards.

Anthony Oak Flooring, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard, which was contained in OSHA inspection number 967110, citation number 1, item number 3 and was affirmed as a final order on May 30, 2014, with respect to a workplace located at 409 N. Vine Street in Magnolia, Arkansas.
