29 CFR 1926.501(b)(10): Each employee engaged in roofing activities on low-slope roofs, with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels, was not protected from falling by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, or a combination of warning line system and guardrail system, warning line system and safety net system, warning line system and personal fall arrest system, or warning line system and safety monitoring system; or, on roofs 50 feet (15.25 m) or less in width, the use of a safety monitoring system alone: (a) On March 18th, 2015 and at times prior employees were exposed to fall hazards up to 24 feet while installing roofing materials without the benefit fall protection equipment next to an unprotected edge of a multi-story complex in the vicinity of 4421 12th Street West, in Dickinson, North Dakota. Note: This company was previously cited for a substantially similar violation of this Occupational Safety and Health standard or its equivalent standard which was contained in OSHA Inspection Number 97148, Citation 1, Item 2 , and was affirmed as a final order on 9/16/2011, with respect to a workplace located at 2500 Diagonal Road in Lacrosse, Wisconsin.
