29 CFR 1910.138(a): The employer did not select and require employee(s) to use appropriate hand protection when employees' hands were exposed to hazards such as those from skin absorption of harmful substances, severe cuts or lacerations, severe abrasions, punctures, chemical burns, thermal burns, and harmful temperature extremes: a. 303 Beasley Street, Blairsville, GA (Jobsite) - Employees were exposed to chemical hazard. The designated forklift operators are required to change out the liquid propane tank, when needed. The employees were not utilizing the proper hand protection when changing out the tank. The employees were not provided chemical resistant gloves, such as Kevlar, when coming in contact with the connection points of the liquid propane tank, exposing employees to chemical freeze burn, on or about September 10, 2015.

29 CFR 1910.178(q)(7): Industrial trucks were not examined before being placed in service: a. 303 Beasley Street, Blairsville, GA (Jobsite) - The employees were exposed to hazards associated with not ensuring the safe operation of the powered industrial trucks. The employee is performing inadequate daily inspections of the forklifts. There were deficiencies found with the Yale (Yellow) forklift during the walk around inspection, that was not noted on the daily inspection check list, on or about September 10, 2015.
