29 CFR 1910.242(a): Hand and portable powered tools or equipment were not kept in safe condition: (a) Facility, 438 Riverview Road, Lehighton, PA - An employee cut a wooden form with a Makita Circular Saw Model 5007F (Serial No. 0456889) and suffered an injury when the lower guard did not close instantly after the completion of the cut, on or about October 20, 2015.

29 CFR 1910.242(b): Compressed air used for cleaning purposes was not reduced to less than 30 p.s.i.: a) Wood Shop, 438 Riverview Drive, Lehighton, PA - Employees used compressed air at 75 p.s.i. to clean portable power tools such as but not limited to circular saws, after use and prior to placement back into the "Tool Machine" and were exposed to struck-by hazards caused by high pressure air, as observed on or about February 25, 2015. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(c), abatement certification is required for this violation.
