Electrical wiring, motors, and other equipment outside of but within twenty (20) feet of any spraying area, and not separated therefrom by partitions, shall not produce sparks under normal operating conditions and shall otherwise conform to the provisions of subpart S of this part for Class I, Division 2 Hazardous Locations.   a.  On or about October 28, 2015, an employee who worked in the paint booth performed spraying operations with flammable and combustible paints near a live electrical outlet within six inches of the paint booth entrance.  The electrical outlet being used was not totally enclosed and sealed to avoid exposing the employee to a fire hazard.
