29 CFR 1926.501(b)(11): "Steep roofs." Each employee on a steep roof with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels shall be protected from falling by guardrail systems with toeboards, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems: Located on the Westside of commercial structure steep roof, employees were observed installing flashing around a chimney exposed to a fall hazard while wearing personal fall arrest system that was not attached to a rope and anchorage point. Potential fall height was measured to be greater than 25' with a roof pitch measured to be 10 in 12.
