29 CFR 1926.501(b)(11): Each employee on a steep roof with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels shall be protected from falling by guardrail systems with toeboards, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. (a)Clark Drew Construction, Inc. @ 425 Honor Dr., Brookings, SD 57006: On or about December 11, 2015, the employer, did not ensure the employees were protected from falls, in that, employees worked outside of the personal platform positioned at the eave while engaged in roofing activities on a multi-family residence under construction. The condition exposed employees to an 18 foot fall hazard.
