29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, and rotating parts: (a) Black Clawson Slitter s/n 191A138634; The slitter was not adequately guarded as employees could reach into the machines ingoing nip points and rotating parts, near the operators station, by reaching over the safety mat; as well as on the back side(s) of the machine where no guarding was in place to prevent entering the area of operation.
