Employees working on the Noble Jim Thompson vessel, set for demolition, at the Port of Brownsville did not safely rig loads to the top of a derrick such as but not limited to: a) A chain to hoist 190 feet of 1 1/4" thick wire rope 140 feet to a walkway was not properly rigged, and b) A sash cord to manually hoist 50 feet of 1 /1/4" thick wire rope was overrated.
