STI Granite and Marble, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard, which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1057795 citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on October 1, 2015, with respect to a workplace located at 300 W. Rhapsody, San Antonio, TX 78216.

Sample calculations include an assumed zero exposure for the 170 minutes not sampled.    b) Polishing area: On or about April 20, 2016, an employee performing dry polishing operations to granite slabs using a Makita 6-inch Angle Grinder (Model 9566CV, SN: 41102A) was exposed to respirable dust containing 17% crystalline silica (quartz) at an 8-hour Time Weighted Average of 1.50 mg/m^3, approximately 2.85 times the Permissible Exposure Limit of 0.526 mg/m^3 during a 313 minute sampling period. Sample calculations include an assumed zero exposure for the  167 minutes not sampled.    STI Granite and Marble, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard, which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1057795 citation number 1, item number 5a and was affirmed as a final order on October 1, 2015, with respect to a workplace located at 300 W.
