At the warehouse area: Employees handled compressed gases such as propane (LPG) tanks when replacing empty tanks with new tanks during Clark forklift maintenance operations. b. At the receiving platform area: Employees worked in close proximity to a 500 gallon diesel tank used to provide fuel for the supermarket's power generator. NOTE: Certification of abatement is not required for this citation item since it was submitted prior to citation issuance.

29 CFR 1910.1200(f)(6)(ii): Except as provided in 29 CFR 1910.1200(f)(7) and 29 CFR 1910.1200(f)(8), the employer did not ensure that each container of hazardous chemicals in the workplace was labeled, tagged or marked with the product identifier and words, pictures, symbols, or combination thereof, which provide at least general information regarding the hazards of the chemicals and which, in conjunction with the other information immediately available to employees under the hazard communication program, would provide employees with the specific information regarding the physical and health hazards of the hazardous chemical: Receiving platform area: On or about April 12, 2016, employee(s) were potentially exposed to a combustible hazard while working in proximity of an unlabeled 500 gallon diesel tank container used to provide fuel for the supermarket's power generator. NOTE: Certification of abatement must be submitted for this citation item as required by 29 CFR 1903.19(c).
