29 CFR 1926.1052(c)(1)(i): Stairways having four or more risers or rising more than 30 inches (76 cm), whichever is less, were not equipped with at least one handrail: (a) On or about May 5, 2016, and at times prior, Total Roofing LLC, as exposing and controlling employer, did not ensure that its employee or the employees of Moriarty Roofing Co., subcontractor, were protected from fall hazards while accessing the roof through a hatch using a stairway with 12 risers and no handrails. Abatement Note: Abatement certification is required for this item (see enclosed "Certification of Corrective Action Worksheet").
