29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501(b): a) Back of building - On or about June 7, 2016, employees were exposed to the hazard of falling approximately 18 feet from an attic deck and second story top plates while performing carpentry work without fall protection. b) Back of building - On or about June 7, 2016, employees were exposed to the hazard of falling approximately 12 feet from a second story window opening while performing carpentry work without fall protection. c) Front of building - On or about June 7, 2016, employees were exposed to the hazard of falling approximately 10 feet while performing carpentry work from top plates without fall protection. d) Front of building - On or about June 7, 2016, while performing carpentry work employees were exposed to the hazard of falling from a 16/12 pitched roof surface having a ground to eave height of about 11 feet. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET), and in addition, documentation demonstrating that abatement is complete must be included with your certification. This documentation may include, but is not limited to, evidence of the purchase or repair of the equipment, photographic or video evidence of abatement, or other written records.
