29 CFR 1910.184(f)(5)(iii): Wire rope sling(s) that had kinking, crushing, bird caging or other damage resulting in distortion of the wire rope structure were not immediately removed from service: a) RK 02 area, On or about June 15, 2016, employees were exposed to struck by hazards, while employees were rigging coil of flat steel with a Midco 4 foot wire rope sling serial #76842.2 that was kinked with minimal bird caging. b) PR 04 area, On or about June 15, 2016, employees were exposed to struck by hazards, while employees were rigging coil of flat steel with a Permaloc 6 foot wire rope sling serial #550890-6 that was kinked with minimal bird caging. The Takumi Stamping Texas, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.184(f)(5)(iii), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1059611, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 09/03/15 with respect to a workplace located at 1 Lone Star Pass, Bldg.40, San Antonio, TX 78264.
