1910.219(f)(3): Sprocket wheels and chains which were seven 7 feet or less above floors or platforms were not enclosed: a) 3128 Cartoner Machine, Nilla - Employees on the production line and employees receiving and gluing cookie boxes were exposed to an unguarded chain and sprocket at the end of the Nilla line, exposing employees to a serious hazard, on or about 8-4-16. b) Oreo Packing Line #27 - Employees were operating the cookie packaging machine where there was an unguarded sprocket and chain near the packaging former, exposing the employee to a serious hazard, observed on or about 7-25-16. c) Oreo Packing Line #6 - Employees were operating the cookie packaging machine where there was an unguarded portion of a sprocket and chain near the packaging former, exposing the employee to a serious hazard, observed on or about 8-10-16. North American Packaging dba Econo-Pak was previously cited as North American Sterilization and Packaging dba Econo-Pak, Inc., for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard, which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1071834, citation number 1, item number 1, and was affirmed as a final order on 10-08-15, with respect to a workplace located at 535 Route 6 & 209, Milford, PA.
