29 CFR 1910.22(b)(2): Permanent aisles and passageways were not appropriately marked: (a) Shear Area: Employees were exposed to struck by hazards as the aisle lines were not completely marked on both sides of the aisles in the shear area, and the hall from the material storage area going past the saw area. Abatement certification is required for this item; use the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET for this purpose. NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19

29 CFR 1910.179(j)(2): The following items were not be inspected for defects at intervals as defined in paragraph (j)(1)(ii) of this section or as specifically indicated, including observation during operation for any defects which might appear between regular inspections: (a) Shear Area: Employees were exposed to overhead cranes such as, but not limited to, the P-26 and P-33, 5 ton overhead cranes did not have frequent inspections which shall be performed at daily to monthly intervals, which are to include documented monthly inspections of hooks and hoist chains. Abatement certification is required for this item; use the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET for this purpose. NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM.
