29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system: (a) 3000 Regency Drive, Sinking Springs, PA - The employee was observed performing framing work activity on a 3 in 12 pitch residential porch roof without the benefit of a fall protection system, thereby exposing employees to a fall of approximately 9 feet 9 inches to the lower cement porch, and 10 feet 1 1/2 inches to the ground below, on or about August 11, 2016. No abatement certification or documentation required. Bachman's Roofing, Building & Remodeling, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard CFR 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1112679, citation number 1, item number 1a and was affirmed as a final order on April 22, 2016, with respect to a workplace located at 100 Independence Court Blandon, PA. 29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1): Portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface to which the ladder was used to gain access: (a) 3000 Regency Drive, Sinking Springs, PA - Employees were observed using an aluminum extension ladder that did not extend at least 3 feet above the landing surface to the building, thereby exposing employees to a fall hazard of approximately 13 feet to the ground below, on or about August 11, 2016. No abatement certification or documentation required.
