29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems: On or about August 10, 2016, at a worksite located at Ashton Village Building 2, 56 Ashton Village, Westerville, OH 43081, during framing and carpentry activities during roof deck installation, the employer did not ensure employees were protected from fall hazards approximately 22-24 feet, by ensuring a fall protection system/device was being used. Alderete Construction was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.501(b)(11), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1097431, citation number 02, item number 002 and was affirmed as a final order on December 10, 2015, with respect to a workplace located at 5211 Johnstown Road, New Albany, OH 43054. Alderete Construction was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 945446, citation number 01, item number 004 and was affirmed as a final order on December 4, 2013, with respect to a workplace located at 1231 Gabrielle Elaine Drive, Columbus, OH 43228.
