29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by a guardrail system, a safety net system, or a personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b): a)Jobsite: The employer does not ensure that employees use fall protection systems while performing framing work. This violation was most recently observed at the property 9181 Academy Road, Philadelphia, PA 19114 on 8/22/16 and 8/23/16, where employees engaged in framing activities approximately 32 feet above ground were exposed to fall hazards without the use of fall protection systems. To abate this ongoing violation, the employer must provide and require the use of fall protection systems while employees are working at heights of six feet or greater.

29 CFR 1926.503(a)(1): The employer did not provide a training program for each employee potentially exposed to fall hazards to enable each employee to recognize the hazards of falling and the procedures to be followed in order to minimize these hazards: a) Jobsite: The employer does not train employees in the recognition, evaluation and control of fall hazards associated with residential construction activities. This violation was most recently observed at the property of 9181 Academy Road, Philadelphia, PA 19136 on 8/22/16 and 8/23/16 where employees engaged in framing activities 32 feet from the ground were not trained in fall protection. To abate this ongoing violation, the employer must train each employee in the recognition of fall hazards and the procedures to minimize the hazards. Quick Carpentry, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.503(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1147849, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on 8/02/16, with respect to a workplace located at 25th Ave/Atlantic Avenue, Longport, NJ 08403.
