29 CFR 1910.1000(a)(2): Employee(s) were exposed to an airborne concentration of copper fume listed in Table Z-1 in excess of the 8 hour Time Weighted Average concentration of 0.1 milligrams per cubic meter: a) CONCAST BIRMINGHAM, INC. DBA CONCAST METAL PRODUCTS, located at 14315 Route 113 Birmingham, OH, 44816 on or about October 26th, 2016, employees were exposed to airborne concentration of copper fume in excess of 0.1 milligrams per cubic meter for the employee performing the job function of furnace operator at furnace number one. An employee was exposed to copper fumes at an 8-hour time weighted average of 0.275 milligrams per meter cubed which exceeded the OSHA Permissible Exposure Limit of 0.10 milligrams per meter cubed by 275%. b) CONCAST BIRMINGHAM, INC. DBA CONCAST METAL PRODUCTS, located at 14315 Route 113 Birmingham, OH, 44816 on or about October 26th, 2016, employees were exposed to airborne concentration of copper fume in excess of 0.1 milligrams per cubic meter for the employee performing the job function of furnace operator at furnace number two. Employees were exposed to airborne concentration of copper fume in excess of 0.1 milligrams per cubic meter for the employee performing the job function of furnace operator at furnace number one. An employee was exposed to copper fumes at an 8-hour time weighted average of 0.275 milligrams per meter cubed which exceeded the OSHA Permissible Exposure Limit of 0.10 milligrams per meter cubed by 275%. b) CONCAST BIRMINGHAM, INC. DBA CONCAST METAL PRODUCTS, located at 14315 Route 113 Birmingham, OH, 44816 on or about October 26th, 2016, the employer did not ensure the locker room changing bench on the clean side of the locker room was kept as free as practicable of the accumulation of lead, exposing employeeds to a cross contamination hazard. Analysis of the wipe sample collected from the clean side locker room bench revealed 45.9 micrograms per 100 square centimeters of lead.
