OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees exposed to falling object hazards. a) Jobsite - The employer did not adequately assess the forces applied to a tree branch used as a rigging point. An employee operating a GRCS suffered severe injuries when the branch used as a rigging point broke off the main trunk and fell striking the employee on the head. Noted on or about 9/21/16.
