29 CFR 1926.501(b)(11): Each employee on a steep roof with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected from falling by guardrail systems with toeboards, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. At the jobsite located at 10500 165th St., Overland Park KS: Employees engaged in roofing activities on a 12:12 pitch roof were exposed to fall hazards of approximately 17 feet from the eave to the ground below. The employees were exposed in that a fall protection system was not in place to keep them from falling.
