29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1):  One or more methods of machine guarding shall be provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks. Examples of guarding methods are-barrier guards, two-hand tripping devices,electronic safety devices, etc.:     a)  On or about December 9, 2016, the employer did not ensure the E2 coater machine operator(s) and helpers were protected from the rotating parts and ingoing nip points of the E2 coater machine liner side coating heads, the rotating parts and ingoing nip points created by the material traveling over the rollers near the laminator catwalk, and the rotating parts and ingoing nip points created by the material traveling over the rollers between the laminator and the winder cutoff.        b)  On or about December 9, 2016, the employer did not ensure the E5 machine operator(s) and helpers were protected from the rotating parts and ingoing nip points of the E5 coater machine created by the material traveling over the rollers throughout the machine area, including but not limited to, the chill station rollers, moisturizer rollers, winder side cutoff, liner side cutoff, and the adhesive and silicone coating head rollers.          TECHNICOTE, INC., WAS PREVIOUSLY CITED FOR A VIOLATION OF THIS OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH STANDARD OR ITS EQUIVALENT STANDARD, 29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1), WHICH WAS CONTAINED IN OSHA INSPECTION NUMBER 1123782, CITATION NUMBER 01, ITEM NUMBER 003, AND WAS AFFIRMED AS A FINAL ORDER ON OR ABOUT AUGUST 10, 2016, WITH RESPECT TO A WORK PLACE LOCATED AT 70 MARC DRIVE, CUYAHOGA FALLS, OHIO.
