29 CFR 1910.132(d)(1): The employer did not assess the workplace to determine if hazards were present, or were likely to be present, which necessitated the use of personal protective equipment (PPE). If such hazards were present, or likely to be present, the employer did not: (i) Select, and have each affected employee use, the types of PPE that would protect the affected employee from the hazards identified in the hazard assessment; (ii) Communicate selection decisions to each affected employee; and (iii) Select PPE that properly fit each affected employee: On or about December 12, 2016 at 3201 Fairfax Traffic way, Kansas City, Kansas, employees engaged in HVAC activities were expose to 1st, 2nd and 3rd degree burns, in that a Job Hazard Analysis was not performed to determine the hazards of the job task and evaluate what Personal Protective Equipment needed to be used.
