OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which was free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees working around battery powered carts that run along an in-floor track system conveying chassis are exposed to a struck-by hazard: a) Chassis G Line On or about December 21, 2016, training for employees operating the battery powered carts did not include information related to pre-inspection maintenance, and the training was not evaluated and documented. Among other methods, feasible abatement measures include, but are not limited to the following: Development and implementation of a training program to include instructing employees regarding operation under both normal conditions and emergency situations. A training program consisting of the elements as recommended by ANSI B20.1-2015: Safety Code for Conveyors, Cableways & Related Equipment; Section 5.1.2 may be used to comply.
