29 CFR 1926.706(b): Masonry walls over eight feet in height were not adequately braced to prevent overturning and to prevent collapse until permanent supporting elements of the structure were in place:      A. Metropolitan Builders Inc. worksite located at 1019 West 5th Street, Lorain, Ohio: On dates prior to December 31, 2016, the employer did not ensure the upper portion of the block wall on the South side of the structure was adequately braced resulting in a wall collapse. The portion that collapsed, approximately 16.00 feet by 20.00 feet, was supported by a steel beam and piers approximately 32.00 feet above grade and peaked at approximately 48.00 feet. No temporary bracing was in place prior to the collapse.      Metropolitan Builders Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health Standard 1926.706(b) which was contained in OSHA inspection number 952251, citation number 1, item number 3 and was affirmed as a final order on May 21, 2014 with respect to a workplace located at Lagrange, Ohio.
