29 CFR 1926.62(j)(2)(iv)(B): The employer did not notify each employee whose blood lead level exceeded 40 micrograms per deciliter that the standard requires temporary medical removal with Medical Removal Protection benefits when an employee's blood lead level exceeded the numerical criterion for medical removal under 29 CFR 1926.62(k)(1)(i): The following employees received blood test results above 40 micrograms per deciliter and had not been notified of their medical removal protection benefits would start at 50 micrograms per deciliter; a) #8543 had a blood lead value of 7.4 b) #72808 had a BPB value of 58.1 c) #83177 had a BPB value of 54.3 d) #59880 had a BPB value of 46 e) #02731 had a BPB value of 50.2 f) ACL Patient AAOA1820 with a BPB of 65.4 Abatement certification and abatement documentation is required for this violation. The documentation should include written verification of abatement, applicable measurements or monitoring results, and photographs or videos which you believe will be helpful. The abatement certification sheet is enclosed with the citations.

29 CFR 1926.62(j)(2)(ii): 29 CFR 1926.62(j)(2)(ii): When the results of a blood lead level test indicated that an employee's blood lead level was at or above the numerical criterion for medical removal under 29 CFR 1926.62(k)(1)(i), the employer did not provide a second (follow-up) blood sampling test within two weeks after the employer received the results of the first blood sampling test: At the time of the inspection, five employees had blood levels above 50 micrograms per deciliter and had not received a follow-up blood test within the two week of that test. Abatement certification and abatement documentation is required for this violation. The documentation should include written verification of abatement, applicable measurements or monitoring results, and photographs or videos which you believe will be helpful. The abatement certification sheet is enclosed with the citations.
