29 CFR 1910.133(a)(1): The employer did not ensure that each affected employee uses appropriate eye or face protection when exposed to eye or face hazards from flying particles, molten metal, liquid chemicals, acids or caustic liquids, chemical gases or vapors, or potentially injurious light radiation: On or February 2, 2017, Employees are exposed to eye or face injuries, when: a. Mixing chemicals, such as but not limited to, KC-564, which contains a pH of 13, and KC-615 which contains a pH of 13, and employees were not protected from chemical splashes in the face. b. Employees sanitizing will remove their safety glasses because of the steam in the work area, and the employer did not enforce the use of appropriate eye or face protection.
