OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which was free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to fall hazards while installing and removing tarps. a. On or about February 23, 2017, at the residential and commercial solid waste facility, employees were exposed to fall hazards associated with accessing the top of hopper trailers, hopper trailer elevated work platforms, and hopper trailer ladders, in order to spread or remove net tarps. Employees were exposed to fall hazards of greater than 12 feet.
