29 CFR 1910.305(g)(1)(iv)(A): Flexible cords and/or cables were used as a substitute for the fixed wiring of a structure: Break area: A Sanyo 1400 watt (11.7 amp) microwave, Model EM-3920, and a Mr. Coffee 900 watt (7.5 amp) coffee maker were plugged into a 15 amp power strip (relocatable power tap). Employees were exposed to a fire hazard due to the high current draw appliances connected to the power strip.
