29 CFR 1926.453(b)(2)(v): A body belt was not worn and/or a lanyard was not attached to the boom or basket when working from an aerial lift: Note:  As of January 1, 1998, subpart M of this part (1926.502(d)) provides that body belts are not acceptable as part of a personal fall arrest system.  The use of a body belt in a tethering system or in a restraint system is acceptable and is regulated:    On or about April 4, 2017, at the job site multiple employees were exposed to a fall hazard while working in aerial lift at a height of approximately 60 feet.  Two employees were observed not wearing a fall arrest harness and two were observed wearing a personal fall arrest harness but not tying off to the boom or basket.     GTO Construction was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard, 29 CFR 1926.453(b)(2)(v), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1185082, citation number 1, item number 1, and was affirmed as a final order on December 23, 2016 with a final abatement date of December 8, 2016, with respect to a workplace hazard at 806 S. Meridian Ave., Oklahoma City, OK 73108 and in OSHA inspection number 1171011, citation number 1, item 1, and was affirmed as final order on January 4, 2017with a final abatement date of December 8, 2016, with respect to a workplace hazard 618 N.W. 8th, Moore, OK 73160.
