29 CFR 1910.28(b)(1)(i)(A): The employer did not ensure that each employee on a walking-working surface with an unprotected side or edge that is 4 feet (1.2 m) or more above a lower level was protected from falling by a standard guardrail system: Balcony, Building 157: Employees exposed to a fall of approximately seven feet eleven inches to the concrete floor below through a five feet one inch opening on the balcony. The guardrail for the opening is set at approximately two feet nine inches in height.

DEPARTMENT OF INTERIOR, NATIONAL PARK SERVICE WAS PREVIOUSLY CITED FOR A VIOLATION OF THIS OCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH STANDARD, WHICH WAS CONTAINED IN OSHA INSPECTION NUMBER 1056682, CITATION 02, ITEM NUMBER 003 AND WAS AFFIRMED AS A FINAL ORDER ON SEPTEMBER 1, 2015, WITH RESPECT TO A WORKPLACE LOCATED AT U. S. DEPARTMENT OF INTERIOR, NATIONAL PARK SERVICE, GREAT BASIN NATIONAL PARK, LEHMAN CAVES VISITOR CENTER, 100 GREAT BASIN NATIONAL PARK, BAKER, NEVADA 89311
