29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1): Employees were not provided with eye and face protection equipment when machines or operations presented potential eye or face injury from physical, chemical, or radiation agents: (a) New residential construction located on Lot #16, Roof: On or about 04/28/2017, and at times prior, the employer exposed employees to struck-by eye injuries, in that employees were not provided with protective eyewear while operating pneumatic framing nail guns while installing 1/2-inch plywood sheathing to the roof rafters. MJ Framing Construction Services, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard 29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1184873, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on 02/15/2017, with respect to a workplace located at 4208 Integrity Way, Powder Springs, GA 30127.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels was not protected by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, or an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b), nor did the employer demonstrate that it is infeasible or creates a greater hazard to use these systems and develop and implement a fall protection plan which meets the requirements of paragraph (k) of section 1926.502: (a) New residential construction located on Lot #16, Roof: On or about 04/28/2017, and at times prior, the employer exposed employees to fall hazards of over 30-feet while working on a 10/12 pitched steep roof, in that employees were not provided with a fall protection system while installing 1/2-inch plywood to the roof rafters. MJ Framing Construction Services, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1184873, citation number 1, item number 3 and was affirmed as a final order on 02/15/2017, with respect to a workplace located at 4208 Integrity Way, Powder Springs, GA 30127.
