29 CFR 1926.100(a):   Employees working in areas where there was a possible danger of head injury from impact, or falling or flying objects, or from electrical shock and burns, were not protected by protective helmets:   A) Exterior, In the front of the house on a ladder and the ground below:  Employees were exposed to head injuries while working below roofing activities. The employees were not protected by hard hats or protective helmets, on or about April 3rd, 2017.

29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1): Eye and face protective equipment were not used when machines or operations presented potential eye or face injury:                                                                                                             A) Exterior, Roof Level of house: Employees were exposed to eye/face injuries while using pneumatic nail guns and electric saws and were not protected with any type of eye/face protection, on or about April 3rd, 2017.    Express Construction Carpentry was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1079116, citation number 2, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 9/16/15, with respect to a workplace located at 1240 River Road in Edgewater, NJ.

Express Construction Carpentry was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1079116, citation number 2, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on 9/16/15, with respect to a workplace located at 1240 River Road in Edgewater, NJ.

29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1): Where portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladder's length allows, the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface being accessed:    A) Exterior, Roof Level: Employees were exposed to fall hazards of approximately 25 feet while using an extension ladder that was not extended at least 3 feet over the landing that they were accessing, on or about April 3rd, 2017.   Express Construction Carpentry was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 952855, citation number 1, item number 3 and was affirmed as a final order on 4/8/14, with respect to a workplace located at 396 W.Hudson Avenue in Englewood, NJ.
