29 CFR 1910.110(f)(2)(i): LP-Gas Containers were not stored in a manner to minimize exposure to excessive temperature rise, physical damage, or tampering by unauthorized persons    CE Squadron, Storage Area near building 2565: Two Propane tanks were stored near the only exit and entrance to the storage area and employees were exposed to physical damage.

29 CFR 1910.243(c)(3): Abrasive wheels used on right angle head grinders were not provided with safety guard(s) having a maximum exposure angle of 180 degrees and located between the operator and wheel:   CE Squadron, Metal Shop Bldg. 2540: A Milwaukee portable right angle grinder with 4.5 inch abrasive grinding wheel attachment was missing the abrasive wheel guard. Employees were exposed to lacerations hazards from unguarded moving parts.

29 CFR 1910.334(a)(2)(i): Portable cord and plug connected equipment and flexible cord sets (extension cords) were not visually inspected before use on any shift for external defects (such as loose parts, deformed and missing pins, or damage to outer jacket or insulation) and for evidence of possible internal damage (such as pinched or crushed outer jacket).   CE Squadron, Metal Shop Bldg. 2540: The outer jacket on the flexible cord attached to a SKILLSAW  HDD77 portable hand saw was damaged throughout the length of the cord exposing the inner conductor to physical damage, exposing employees to electrical hazards.

29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks:    CE Squadron, Carpenter Shop Bldg.2538: A Delta 10 inch table saw was not provided with the blade guards to protect the operator from hazards created by point of operation.    The U.S. Air Force Civil Engineer Support Agency was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard 1910.212(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 191327, citation number 01, item number 001 and was affirmed as a final order on May 22, 2012, with respect to a workplace located at Travis Air Force Base, CA 94535.  The U.S. Air Force 36th Civil Engineering Squadron was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard 1910.212(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 467640, citation number 01, item number 004 and was affirmed as a final order on March 18, 2013, with respect to a workplace located at Anderson Air Force Base, Guam 96915.
