29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems: Worksite: On or about May 19, 2017, employees not equipped with fall protection were exposed to a fall of more than 6 feet to the ground below while working near the highest point of a pitched roof and framing a building. Felix Portillo was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1) which was contained in OSHA inspection number 545299, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 11/13/2012, with respect to a workplace located at 1819 S. New Braunfels Ave., San Antonio, TX 78237.
