29 CFR 1926.453(b)(2)(v):A body belt was not worn and/or a lanyard was not attached to the boom or basket when working from an aerial lift: Note: As of January 1, 1998, subpart M of this part (1926.502(d)) provides that body belts are not acceptable as part of a personal fall arrest system. The use of a body belt in a tethering system or in a restraint system is acceptable and is regulated under 1926.502(e): Corner of Culebra Rd and Talley Rd, San Antonio, TX 78253: On or about September 6, 2022, and times prior thereto, an employee was exposed to a fall hazard while installing plywood paneling on the side of a commercial building, with the lanyard not attached to the aerial lift basket. Felix Portillo was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.453(b)(2)(v), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1362888, citation number 2, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 01/15/2019, with respect to a workplace located at 2733 E. Whitestone Blvd, Cedar Park, TX 78613.
